Agave Azul Mexican Cocina has recently opened in the former Pino’s Pizza location in Boydton, Virginia. First time visiting this evening for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented everything was. The atmosphere was inviting with vibrant decor and a clean, comfortable dining area that gave off a cheerful, authentic vibe. We ordered the Arroz Con Mariscos and the Taquitos Mexicanos—both were absolutely delicious! The seafood in the Arroz Con Mariscos was perfectly cooked and generously portioned, served over a bed of seasoned rice with a rich, savory cheese sauce. The Taquitos Mexicanos were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with fresh guacamole and sour cream. It’s such a nice addition to the Boydton area—right here near Buggs Island Lake—perfect for locals and visitors alike looking for a great meal after a day on the water or exploring the area. Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend checking this place out!

We go camping on the lake a couple times a year. There isn't much in the way of restaurants in the immidiate area. This building used to be a pizza joint that in our opinion wasn't very good. I'm so glad we stopped in for lunch on this trip. They have an extensive lunch menu. The atmosphere was very similar to a very popular Mexican restaurant back home. The food was fantastic and the staff were very attentive and polite. If you love in the boydton area or are camping nearby, you really ought to try it. We will definitely make it a priority to stop in when we are visiting the area.

We were staying at North Bend Campground and found this gem of a restaurant! The food was great and so were the margaritas. We will be back next time we are camping here! It was packed on a Thursday and the service was great!

If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, please do! The food was great and the service was also good. The whole restaurant has been renovated too! We will be going back in the near future.

I was pleasantly surprised. California burrito was full of grilled chicken. Beans and rice came on the plate. Not in the Burrito. Wife had the sampler. Best Chilli Reono she's had in Virginia she said.

They got dinner and drinks out for 26 of us with no issue. It was fast, delicious, and accurate. Very nice dinner and we will return. We ordered chiles rellenos and enchiladas verdes. They were excellent
